Jacqueline Brooks claimed the inaugural Canadian National Dressage Freestyle Championship on Thursday, November 8 at the Royal.

Christilot Boylen represented Canada at CDI3* Weikersdorf, held October 18–21, in Austria. The international competition saw riders from over 18 nations vie for top honours.

In the first round of individual dressage competition at the XV Pan American Games, equestrian athlete Tom Dvorak of Hillsburgh, ON, lies in fourth position, only 1.4 points behind the leader, Christopher Hickey of the United States.

Canadian Dressage Team

Canada claimed the Team Silver Medal in dressage on Sunday. The United States earned Gold while the home country of Brazil claimed the Team Bronze.

Following the first day of competition at the XV Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, the Canadian dressage team is in second position.

Title defender Anky van Grunsven has refrained from her wild card and stays at home happily together with her new baby daughter Ava Eden and two and a half year old son Yannick Janssen. She is looking forward to meet her dressage colleagues again in the outdoor season.

Ocala Winter Dressage show

Saturday's Prix St. Georges was the largest class of this show with 18 entries. The winner (with a solid 70 %) was Erin Brinkman, with the imported 12 year old Hanoverian mare Bella Luna ( Brentano/Worldcup II), owned by Delight Willing
